Preview: Atlético have another chance to end road woes with visit to Cádiz

A chance to whip up momentum before the rematch against Inter. Atlético de Madrid travel south to Andalusia for a Saturday afternoon showdown with relegation-threatened Cádiz.
Atlético Madrid (17-4-6, 55 points) have won six of seven meetings with Cádiz (2-13-12, 19 points) since the latter won promotion back to LALIGA in 2020. It remains to be seen whether the two teams will meet again next year, as Cádiz sit 18th entering round 28 action and are five points adrift of safety. Manager Mauricio Pellegrino is desperate to find some goalscoring ? Cádiz have been shut out in more than half its games (14 out of 27) and have scratched across just 18 goals all season. Meanwhile, Atlético have failed to win any of its past five games away from home in all competitions and do not want to see that streak extended to six games. Winning at the Nuevo Mirandilla while avoiding major injuries will give head coach Diego Simeone a platform from which to build when mighty Inter Milan come to town on Wednesday for the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie.
