Atleti will play the German giants for the first time in nearly six years. Atlético Madrid will play Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League quarterfinals, UEFA revealed Friday.

After overcoming Inter Milan in a heart-stopping shootout to end the competition?s round of 16, Atlético?s next challenge will be taking down Ballspielverein Borussia 09 e. V. Dortmund in a bid to reach its first Champions League semifinal in seven years. Dortmund, last season?s Bundesliga runners-up, won its group over Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan, and Newcastle United before defeating PSV Eindhoven 2-0 on Wednesday night (3-1 across two legs) to reach its first quarterfinal in three seasons. The first leg will kick off at the Cívitas Metropolitano on April 10, with the second leg to follow at Dortmund?s Signal Iduna Park on April 16.
