Chairman expected to ‘shell out’ to buy Bournemouth player ? Can replace star at club
Last month, AFC Bournemouth?s Hamed Traorè joined Napoli on a loan deal with an option to buy.
On Wednesday, the Serie A side sealed a 6-1 win over Sassuolo and the 24-year-old started against his former club.
Earlier that day, Corriere dello Sport stated yesterday?s clash could be the first step for the Bournemouth owned player to convince Napoli to pay ?25m to buy him.
Area Napoli state the coming months would be of importance for the attacking midfielder to continue at the Naples club beyond this season.
Based on the Ivory Coast international’s performance on Wednesday, the report states ?it?s easy to think? that Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis ?will shell out? ?25m to buy him.
Piotr Zieli?ski?s current deal at the Italian club lasts until the end of this season and he?s set to leave as a free agent. Area Napoli?s title says Napoli have already found a successor for the Poland international, and the chances of that happening would increase, if Traorè were to shine until the end of this season.
The midfielder may also be in favour of staying at Napoli, after failing to have a prominent role [13 matches in 18 months] with the Cherries.
Despite all of that, Serie A clubs using pre-agreed options to sign players is unusual, especially when it’s an English club concerned. At the very least, they usually try to knock the price down.
