Iraola ‘pampers’ player at Bournemouth as he’s ‘investment for the future’ – Cherries set to be ‘dazzled’ too
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola is pampering striker Enes Ãœnal as he is an ?investment for the future? that he wants to protect.
That?s according to AS, who cover the Turkish striker today after he bagged his first goal for the club in the 2-2 draw with Sheffield United.
The newspaper details how Ãœnal came to the rescue for Bournemouth over the weekend, scoring the equaliser in the game with Chris Wilder?s side.
That was his first goal since arriving on loan from Getafe in January and, indeed, his first goal in club football since returning from torn ligaments suffered when he was still playing at the Spanish side. His las goal had been in early May 2023.
It was a big moment for him, as well as Bournemouth, who are yet to see the best of the striker as he continues the long recovery from such an injury. This was only his sixth game in a Cherries shirt and the second most minutes he?s spent on the pitch, with Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola taking it easy with him up to now.
The newspaper says he ?pampers? Ãœnal as he is very much seen as an ?investment for the future?, hinting that the Cherries may be activating their option to buy him in the summer.
The Spanish coach wants his adaptation to be as good as possible and is taking things slow, hoping Ãœnal can eventually be the player that ?dazzled? in Spain once again.
