Kalvin Phillips’ career at West Ham got off to a disastrous start on Thursday night as he gave the ball away and cost his team a goal within five minutes of kick-off.

Kurt Zouma played the ball to Phillips, who was under pressure from Ryan Christie and tried to play it back to his goalkeeper, but Solanke was waiting and slotted comfortably past Alphonse Areola.
