The Telegraph have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have to pay £50m to land Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest in the summer.

The versatile Gibbs-White, who can play as an attacking midfielder or even deeper in a box-to-box role, has been one of Forest’s standout players this season, with eight goal contributions in the league so far.

However, it has emerged over recent days that he might be on his way out of the City Ground in the summer, owing to Forest’s financial issues.

The Midlands club have been hit with a four-point deduction for breaching the Profit and Sustainability Rules and it was reported by talkSPORT on Thursday that they might also offload some players this summer to avoid further sanctions.

The outlet suggested that they could thus cash in on Gibbs-White and that Tottenham are keeping tabs on the attacking midfielder’s situation, with Ange Postecoglou said to be an admirer of the player.

The Telegraph have now also reported something similar, explaining that Forest have to sell players before June 30 to stay in line with the league’s PSR.

They also name Gibbs-White as someone who could be sold but the publication makes it clear that Nuno Espirito Santo’s men will not accept lowball offers for the player.

It is alleged that interested Premier League clubs would have to pay at least £50m to sign the 24-year-old this summer.
